Got the hair all cut off... I love it!! Feel like a new me. My hair before was just so thin at the length it was--it had to go. I also started using a new product for thinning hair. It's called Nioxin.. Today was the first day to use it so I'm going to give it a few weeks before I say how it's doing. However, my old flame (LOL), Nick Lachey, is the spokesman for them---and he always speaks the truth!!!
I've also decided I've really got to refocus my energies back on me. I feel like I've let myself go lately because of my "divorce stress". I have just got to turn that over to God and not worry so much about it. I have a to get back to putting me and Mac on top of the list. No matter what. Many people are going through much worse circumstances than mine. I need to feel blessed for what I have and the wonderful friends and family that are in my life. I write and post alot of motivational post---but sometimes I don't think I take my own advice! I can make my life better and happier, I've just got to chose to do so. This is my new resolve, think of me and make me BETTER. No one else is going to do it for me.
Here's to a new "Do" and a better ME!!!
Nioxin Tip: The numbers are very important. I use 3 because it is for normal thinning and color treated. Make sure you get what is best suited for your hair. I bought mine at the Ulta store...
You are such a beautiful person-inside and out! I agree that you need to give up all of that worry, focus on all your blessings and choose to be happy. You really are blessed, my friend! But don't focus on yourself too much....I went through a "I'm gonna focus on me," phase where I was going to say NO more and take care of myself instead. It wasn't what I needed.
ReplyDeleteEverything changed when I decided to put God first, seeking His plan for me and serving others and showing His love. I learned that when we focus on serving others, we are truly fulfilled and happy and our focus is really on the only thing that brings us true peace. And certainly not to the extent where we ignore our own needs...but avoiding that path of me, me, me and comparing ourselves to others, etc.
Anyway--I know you've got this....but something you said just reminded me of myself on this roller coaster of a life we live and I thought I'd share. Love you, friend!!
Very well said Melanie.. That is exactly what I have been doing lately. Talking to him alot more often!! LOL... Funny but not. I've just choice to "sleep away" my time so I don't feel alone and I have got to stop doing that. Each day is a blessing and I have got to start treating it as such...
DeleteThanks so much.... Love you too!!!
